Read our Moderator Policy for information on moderator guidelines.

The rules below govern Stocksift and are platform-wide rules that apply to everyone on Stocksift. These rules are enforced by the Stocksift administrators and moderators.

Rules

Rule 1

Treat everyone with respect and kindness. We are all friends on Stocksift. This is a place for belonging, a place where we build others up. Everyone has a right to use Stocksift free from flaming (or roasting), insulting users (with profanity or other offensive languages), harassment, bullying, hate speech, and threats of violence. Users that promote hate based on vulnerability or identity or that incite violence will be banned.

Rule 2

Post genuine and authentic content that you have a personal interest. Do not cheat or engage in content manipulation (e.g., spamming, vote manipulation, ban evasion, etc.) or otherwise interfere with or disrupt Stocksift.

Rule 3

Respect everyone's right to privacy. Posts that contain a user's sensitive or private information, including addresses, phone numbers, etc. are prohibited. Do not reveal anyone's personally identifiable or confidential information. Never post or threaten to post intimate or sexually-explicit media of someone without their consent.

Rule 4

No commercial content or spam. No advertising of affiliate or referral links, trading services, market education, self-promotion, Patreons, mailing lists or newsletters, fundraisers, begging, sharing crypto wallet addresses, or anything remotely similar. No sending large amounts of private direct messages to users who are not expecting them. No repeatedly posting the same or similar comments in a post or in other posts. No repeatedly posting unrelated/off-topic comments or posts. No intentionally duplicating content by posting the same content multiple times. No linking to harmful third-party content, such as malware, phishing, etc.

Rule 5

Never post or encourage the posting of sexual or suggestive content involving minors. Stocksift prohibits any sexual or suggestive content involving minors or someone who appears to be a minor. If you are unsure about a piece of content involving a minor or someone who appears to be a minor, do not post it.

Rule 6

You don't have to use your real name to use Stocksift, but don't impersonate an individual or an entity in a misleading or deceptive manner.

Rule 7

When posting content, ensure that you mark your content as NSFW (not-safe-for-work) if it can be interpreted or perceived as graphic, offensive, sexually-explicit, or anything that would not be workplace appropriate.

Rule 8

No illegal content. Keep your content legal. Stocksift is a platform that keeps records of user information/activity and the content posted by users for the case it is required or requested in a lawsuit or by law enforcement entities.

Rule 9

Don't hack or try to break Stocksift. Bots or automation scripts, or anything remotely similar that is used to manipulate activity or break Stocksift, are prohibited. Anything that interferes with normal use of Stocksift is prohibited.

Rule 10

No market manipulation. Market manipulation is a form of market abuse. Posts that contain false or misleading statements and are made to manipulate the market are prohibited.

Rule 11

No pump & dump. Pump-and-dump is a form of securities fraud. Posts that contain false or misleading statements and are made to drive a security price (up or down) are prohibited.

Rule 12

If you make a recommendation or support a position, you must disclose the fact that you own shares. A recommendation without a disclosure is unethical and illegal in most jurisdictions (talk with your attorney for more information).
